Perry's eye for creative photography started as a child, Perry was drawing and painting at age 5. His teachers in school were impressed with his work and felt he should be attending art school, and he started going to private art school at Nellie Solberg's 6th street studio at age 8 where He attended 5 years. He had his first one man art show at Nellie's 6th street studio in 1972 at age 15. Has been in numerous yearly art shows in the Bismarck Mandan area, sold many Cat drawings & Frank Frazetta copies as a teen ager, and received ribbon's and gallery selections from the Bismarck Art Association. His artistic talent in drawing, painting and shading with color had given him a creative eye for photography. He always photographed things he wanted to paint later. Perry got his first SLR 35 mm film camera in 1973. Since then he has digital cameras costing thousands of dollars. Photography in the 1960s was more his hobby, in the 1970 for art, by the late 90's he was enjoying the creative challenge that digital photography has to offer. All of my photos are originally shot in 3888 x 2592 in resolution, this resolution is higher than what most common home computers can display, you will need to check your home computer resolution setting to see how much of the photo your computer is able and unable to see. You may even have a difficult time opening files of this size. Most home computers can only display around 1280 x 1024. This is far less than half of the total resolution that your able to see, makeing the photos look grainy and cheap on your computer, even though they will print clear clean and crisp at a professional printing center.
The following link is a slide show of a few of Perrys Photos. All photos on this slide show were done out of the studio. These photos have been reduced in size from 3888 x 2592, to 800 x 600 resolution in order to display and play on most home computers. Slide Show !!!!!!!!!!!!!
